My, how time flies when you’re having fun! As is true for many artists, the good times roll when I’m being creative. Indeed many’s the time, I look up from my work to realise that, as if by magic, hours, days, weeks at a time have past! Well, I’ve recently come to appreciate that, in fact thirty years have magically past since I left Loughborough College of Art and Design in 1989.
To mark this special Anniversary I’ve arranged some special dates, opportunities to visit me here at Madrigal and share in my world of art, nature and imagination. I will give a brief talk exploring ‘my world’ then, we’ll then venture out to explore the same in person. In small groups, we’ll step inside my studio; exclusive insight into my working methodology, not to mention a peep inside my treasure chest! Then, for a stroll along the garden path. We garden for wildlife here, so we’ll no doubt see what inspires me along the way, butterflies, wildflowers, birds, bees… Then, of course, to visit the fairies! They live here at Madrigal you see, beneath a hill, known as a Sidhe, I could elaborate, but it would spoil the surprise! After so much fun, it will be high time for a slice of cake and a cup of tea before you journey back home, hopefully feeling inspired, contented and believing in fairies!
